How much does a personal trainer cost?
Short answer
There is no fixed price for personal training. The rate depends on session length, location and location format, session format (1-on-1, duo, or group), experience, and specialisation. TrainerLink does not show averages: for each trainer, you see the current public price and terms without an account, so you can compare.
What determines the price¶
- Session length — longer sessions generally cost more.
- Session format — 1-on-1 is often more expensive per person than duo or group training.
- Location and location format — gyms, studios, outdoor sessions, sessions at your location, and online training can have different rates.
- Experience and specialisation — these also influence the hourly rate.
- Individual session or package — a package may be better value per session than booking sessions individually.
How to compare prices¶
Open the trainer overview.
- Filter by city, type (1-on-1, duo, or group), and hourly price.
- Open a suitable trainer profile and view the services.
Compare the public price, session length, packages, and terms for each service.
Trainers set their own rates and can change them. The service description also lists the terms and any costs for an intake or trial session; if you are unsure, ask what is included in the price.
