Set group mode: duo or open group

Choose a Booking type for each service: individual, duo, or open group. A duo has exactly two participants with the organiser as payer; an open group has two to twenty participants.

Booking type determines how clients book the service: individual, duo, or open group. A duo session always has exactly two participants, with one person booking and paying as the organiser. An open group has a minimum of two and a maximum of twenty participants. Set the mode for each service under Services and prices.

This applies when

  • You want to offer sessions for two people who book together.
  • You want to start a group session that clients can join separately.
  • You want to know how many participants each mode allows.

Choose the right booking type

  1. Open Services and prices in your settings.

  2. Create a new service or open an existing service and go to the Booking type field.

  3. Choose individual for one-to-one sessions with a single client.

  4. Choose duo for sessions with exactly two participants. One of them books as the organiser; under the organiser-pays model, the organiser pays for the session.

  5. Choose open group for a group session with at least two and at most twenty participants.

  6. Save the service.

Participant counts are fixed(Info)

The counts are fixed for each mode: a duo always has exactly two participants, no more and no fewer. An open group has a minimum of two and a maximum of twenty participants. If you want to offer a service in another mode later, change the Booking type and save the service again.

Result

Your service now books in the selected mode. For a duo, the organiser books both places; for an open group, participants join until the limit of twenty is reached.
